Our vines

1/5

Our vines are single varietal as in the entire appellation area: this is Gamay rouge with white juice. It is therefore the skin that gives the wine its color during fermentation. All the vines surround the estate, they are between 45 and 90 years old! The oldest vines produce little and will soon be replanted.

The vatting

The vatting of the wine takes place in our cellar, a stone's throw from the vines. After the harvest, the bunches are put whole in cement vats, that is to say berries and stalks. They macerate for at least ten days. The advantage of concrete tanks is their inertia: they have  a great ability to maintain a constant temperature regardless of variations in the outside temperature.

Tasting

A nose on the fruit: jammy black cherry, stone, rose, liquorice. Black fruits on the palate, roundness, fat, very present tannins, spicy notes.
